Bring: Sewing machine and tools (pins, needles, thread) if you have them, fabric, elastic.
Fabric and elastic suggestions: measurements go to this site
Teacher: Jessie Kilger
Time: 1 hour
Notes: For fabric, the amount needed depends on the size you want to make, and the width of the fabric. As a general rule, for 5T or smaller, if the fabric is 60" wide, you'll need one yard. If it is 45" wide, you''ll need 2.
If you're making a skirt for someone 6-16 girls size, you'll need 2 yards. If making it for an adult, you'll need 2-3 yards, depending on how long you want it. There's a bit of math involved in cutting out the skirts, but I'll discuss that in greater detail at the event.
You will also need elastic, about 1" longer than the waist measurement.
Jessie will also bring her serger in case your sewing machine doesn't like to sew on knit fabric.
