SS 2009 - No Longer Open: Baby Sling

Description:  Slings offer a comfortable alternative in carrying your baby around hands free. They are fully adjustable for Mom or Dad and grow with your baby over time.  They allow for several different carrying positions including a position that is great for discreet nursing.  Lastly, but certainly not least, they are super easy to make and make great gifts.
What you will need:
Bring your own Fabric-
·      Type: Cotton or cotton/polyester blends are recommended. The rings may not be able to hold a slick fabric in place.
·      Pattern: Both sides of the fabric will show when you use your sling so you may want to choose a fabric that does not have a "wrong" side.
·      Width: If you choose fabric that is 36 - 45" wide you will not need to hem the sides unless you choose to do so.
·      Length: You will need 2 and 1/4 yards fabric to make a sling.  If you are tall or large 2 and 1/2 yards is a good idea.
·      One spool of thread to match your fabric/also bring a sewing machine if you have one.  There will be a few provided to use there if you don't have one :)
Rings-
·      Two 3" sturdy metal or nylon ring.  (rings will be provided)
Cost for Class:  $4.00
